Time was named the 100 most influential people in the world
American magazine Time published its annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world. Traditionally, the list consists of 5 categories: Innovators, Artists, Leaders, Idols and Titans.
The list of the most influential artists included actors Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman, Gal Gadot, Milli Bobby Brown, director Guillermo del Toro, TV presenter Jimmy Kimmel, director Greta Gerwig, designer Christian Siriano, artist Judy Chicago.
Among the “Innovators” were noted the activists of the movement #NeverAgain (“Never Again”), demanding to ban the arms trade in the USA (Alex Wynd, Cameron Casci, Emma Gonzalez, Jacqueline Corin, David Hogg, Alex Wind), actress Tiffany Hadish, hip- actress Cardi Bee and others.

“Leaders” this year include American President Donald Trump, British Prince Harry and his fiancée – American actress Megan Markle, French President Emmanuel Macron, head of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, the president South Korea’s Mun Jae-Ying, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman, Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, Argentine President Mauricio Macri, Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa, special US Attorney Robert Muller, gene irektor Microsoft Satya Nadella, Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London and others.
“Idols” of the year were named singer Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, star of “Black Panther” Chadwick Bozeman and designer Virgil Ablo.
In the category “Titans” noted tennis player Roger Federer, TV presenter Oprah Winfrey, founder of Amazon Jeff Bezos and founder of SpaceX company Ilona Mask.
The covers of the Time release with the rating of the 100 most influential people of the world were decorated by actress and singer Jennifer Lopez, actress Nicole Kidman, tennis player Roger Federer, founder of Me Too movement Tarana Burke, business guru and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadela, actress Tiffany Heddish. However, the cover has already been criticized with Jay Law: in the photo, Lopez poses in a luxurious white dress decorated with wings, and with defiant makeup. Many noted that for the photo session of Time, Jennifer even changed the color of her hair, which became even lighter than before.
