Raf Simons left Dior and now is cooperating with Calvin Klein
Since 2 August Raf Simons will begin work with the Calvin Klein in his new office in New York, and will be primarily focused on the development of the line CK Jeans, the new brand image, as well as the reorganization of the company’s shows. Raf Simons resigned from his post as head of the French fashion house in 2015. Belgian designer led Christian Dior three and a half years. He is also the creative director of his own eponymous brand, founded in 1995. Before joining Christian Dior Simons has collaborated with the brand Jil Sander.
Ralph became the creative director of Christian Dior in April 2012. The first work of Simons was presented in the same year – a collection of haute couture autumn-winter 2012. How he managed to create a couture collection for such a short time, the designer said in the film «Dior and I” . And then further every year under the leadership of Simons developed six collections of Christian Dior. Among the candidates for the post referred to Phoebe Philo of Céline and Riccardo Tisci of Givenchy.
The fashion House of Christian Dior was founded in 1947 by Christian Dior. He was its first director. Subsequently, the fashion house headed by such famous fashion designers like Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Boan, Gianfranco Ferre, John Galliano and Bill Geytn.
