Festive looks of Marina Poroshenko
Yesterday Ukraine celebrated its 26th anniversary.
On Independence Day, we decided to pay attention to the image of the First Lady – Marina Poroshenko. On this day, together with her daughters Alexandra and Eugenia, the woman chose outfits from the Ukrainian designer OKSANA POLONETS. A gently pink dress was decorated with embroidery from cotton and silk threads. According to the designer, the embroidery pattern symbolizes freedom, thirst for spirit, a symbol of victories. And reminds of the ancient embroidery of the Kozak foreman of the XVII-XVIII centuries.
“The first lady’s dress is made in the actual shades of this season. The soft powder shade looks gently and feminine, emphasizing the refinement and elegance of Marina Anatolyevna,” – the designer adds.
The day before, August 23, Ukraine celebrated Flag Day. On this day, the presidential family also appeared in public in designer clothes. Marina Poroshenko and her daughters chose the brand “Zerno”.
Zoya Zviniatckovskaya, fashion historian, curator:
“Since 2014, on the Day of Flag First Lady wears democratic Ukrainian brands. It so happened that most often it’s just a T-shirt. When a few months before the event, Marina Poroshenko asked for a recommendation for a dress for this day, I was just working on the exhibition “In Progress. Dress code of Ukraine of Independence.” Within the framework of the project we cooperated with the store “Vsi.Svoi” and I got acquainted with all the brands they represent. And, in fact, when the First Lady asked me about a possible outfit, I immediately remembered and offered T-shirts of “Zerno” brand. They have their own prints and the only change we made was about the colors. For Marina Anatolievna we ordered T-shirts in the colors of the Ukrainian flag. “
Kristina Patyk, the founder of the brand “Zerno”:
“The blouse that was today dressed for Mrs. Poroshenko, was made by the master Vladimir Markaryan from Poltava. Who cuts out forms on a solid tree and arranges ornaments from them. The forms are applied with organic paint and transferred to the fabric by a print. This technique is called a heel, is more ancient from the embroidery technique and came to us from India. All the characters depicted are a long-lasting amulets. A solar symbol-the sun in all cultures is a divine symbol. It is important that these signs are not purely Ukrainian – they are found all over the planet and this just reflects our concept of multidimensional identity, as a manifestation of the Human of the Earth. “
