Grace Kelly’s Granddaughter Lands A Harper’s Bazaar Spread
The eldest daughter of the Prince of Monaco and granddaughter of Grace Kelly graced the pages of fresh number famous magazine.
The 23-year-old paternal granddaughter of the Hollywood icon is making her official debut into the public eye with a Harper’s Bazaar fashion spread that pays ode to Old Hollywood glamour. In the shoot styled by Joanna Hillman and photographed by Michael Avedon (grandson to Richard Avedon, who photographed Grace back in the day), the eldest daughter of Prince Albert II of Monaco wears a series of elegant looks from designers such as Carolina Herrera, Vera Wang Bride and Ralph Lauren Collection.
Jazmin Grace Grimaldi also definitely resembles her famous grandmother. She’s styled to look a whole lot like her, too. «When I was little, my mom would show me photographs of her, but I didn’t understand that she was this huge icon,» says Jazmin Grace Grimaldi of her paternal grandmother, Grace Kelly. «I love the pictures where she’s quirky and smiling. There’s one of her wearing a bathing suit, holding an orange on a stick, with these excited eyes,» she says, recalling an image of a young Grace at the height of her screen career, before her marriage to Monaco’s Prince Rainier III, when she was not much older than the 23-year-old Jazmin is today. «She seems so natural and carefree.»
«One of my first and fondest memories involving my grandmother was watching High Society. It was the first time I realized we had a connection,»Grimaldi told Harper’s Bazaar. «I’m passionate about acting, singing, and dancing. I saw that in her in this movie. It was a real goose-bumps moment for me.»
