Vivienne Westwood presented the wedding collection to Carrie Bradshaw
British brand Vivienne Westwood presented a new capsule collection dedicated to the wedding dress by Carrie Bradshaw, the main character of the series “Sex and the City”. Since the advent of Sarah Jessica Parker in this outfit on the screens it’s been 10 years already. Initially, the dress entered the collection of Vivienne Westwood Gold Label 2007, but specifically for the film it was decided.
The top of the corset was created from several meters of silk ivory fabric, the skirt was also made of silk and added with a taffeta, which helped create a three-dimensional silhouette and a pointed sculptural bust. Since then, the brand has produced a cocktail dress Wilma in three different styles and a corset under the same name. The new collection includes sculptured corsets in black and red.
The ivory shade dress is made of silk and taffeta with a sharp sculpted bustier. Because of the air and light silhouette, this model of dress was called Cloud (“Cloud”).
In honor of the 10th anniversary of the dress, the brand presented a series of cocktail dresses and corsets Wilma. All of them are made with the same sculptural bustier as the dress of Carrie Bradshaw. Prices for things from this range range from 680 to 1100 pounds.
The original dress will be exhibited in the New York store Vivienne Westwood from May 27 to June 3, 2018, where you can also purchase a new collection.
