Virgil Ablo – the new creative director of the men’s line Louis Vuitton

Today, the management of the Fashion House reported that the place of the creative director of the men’s line Louis Vuitton will be Virgil Ablo. At the moment Virgil is one of the most popular and popular designers. He runs his own brand Off-White, which is particularly fond of the millenials and creates a lot of successful collaborations.

The first collection for the brand designer will show in June, during the men’s fashion week in Paris.
Virgil Ablo did not receive a special design education, instead he has a master’s degree in architecture. Before starting to create collections, Ablo worked for several years as an architect. He got into fashion in 2006 – for an internship in Fendi, then worked for Kanye West as a creative director – was responsible for concert merchandising and show, and in 2012 he decided to create collections independently.
His first brand was called Pyrex Vision. The first collection presented the purchased T-shirts by Ralph Lauren, but decorated with Ablo prints. Off-White novice designer came up with only a year, and in 2015 even hit the final of the influential competition LVMH Prize. After that among the fans of Off-White began to be counted Beyonce, Rihanna and Jay-Z. And at his shows are the most highly paid models of our time – Sisters Hadid, Kendall Jenner and Advoa Aboa.
Virgil Ablo also glorified the brand with loud collaborations with Moncler, Jimmy Choo and even IKEA. This year he managed to create a capsule collection of bags and release the first perfume Off-White along with the brand Byredo.
