Valentino Haute Couture fall/winter 2016
The design duo Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Picciol dedicated new couture collection to William Shakespeare, with the death which took place 400 years. The fashion house sent guests of the fashion show to the Golden Age, paying tribute to the key attributes of the wardrobe of that time.
The collection was dramatic — the combination of black and blood-red, embroidered with gold thread brocade, lace, shimmering fabrics, ruffles … On the podium there was a place for Elizabethan collars for dresses, robes reminiscent of the Catholic clergy, boudoir gowns and lush transparent nightgowns as well as the pages of costumes. Massive necklace, studded with rings hands and boots complement looks.
