The latest collection of Phoebe Faylo for Celine
Phoebe Faylo left the post of creative director of Celine. This news of many mods was taken by surprise, because the designer has held this post for the past 10 years. Receiver of Phoebe Faylo became Edi Sliman. Fans of the brand immediately noted that the new creative director is unlikely to succeed in repeating the special aesthetics and delicate perception of the brand that Phoebe Faylo projected in her works. “Working with Céline was for me an exceptional experience of the last ten years. I am grateful that I worked with an incredibly talented and dedicated team, and I would like to thank everyone who was part of this cooperation … It was amazing, “says Phoebe.
The Lucbuk collection Pre-Fall 2018, shot by Jürgen Teller – the last ode to strong and independent girls, embodied by the fantasies of Faylo under the roof of Celine. The first show of Sliman will take place in October.
At the Fashion Week in Paris, the designer presented her latest collection for Celine. The designer decided to note her care quietly, not holding a bright show and pretentious gestures, presenting a new collection of 24 images in the showroom format.
A new collection of the fall / winter season is dedicated to the iconic details of the Fashion House of the time of the reign of Phoebe Faylo: minimalism, comfort and architectural cut. In the following season, Phoebe Phylo advises to pay attention to the maximum simplicity in the wardrobe, making only one accent in the image. From such accents, the designer offers a drapery on a monochrome golf on his back or a motley floral print on a long dress. The main color of Faylo chose dark brown and derivatives: beige, coffee, ivory and others.
In the new collection the designer uses a variety of materials, including leather and wool for a coat, denim for a suit and knitwear for dresses. Among the images one of the most interesting can be considered a coat of Burgundy from Nappa leather with a bulky chest line remotely reminiscent of the aesthetics of Comme des Garçons, as well as a dress of collected silk shawls of yellow, green and black shades.
The podium also filled a coat with a silhouette of oversize and trousers, disproportionate suits, voluminous sleeves, asymmetrical dresses, low-heeled boots and large leather bags – all of Filo’s favorite techniques in 24 images.
