Stella McCartney joins the fight to end violence against women
Kering Foundation for the fourth consecutive year started its White Ribbon for Women campaign to support the fight with violence against women. Last year, the action was supported by Alexa Chung, Sarah Jessica Parker, Bradley Cooper and Cameron Diaz. This year the company is in collaboration with Stella McCartney. The reason that inspired her to take part in this project became the horrific fact that according to statistics one in three women around the world are beaten, coerced into sex or otherwise abused in their lifetime. Stella has created 125,000 brooches that are distributing across 41 countries and in more than 800 Kering-owned boutiques, including Gucci, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Boucheron and Brioni.
At the same time has started a social media campaign called #BeHerVoice. The action began on November 6 and runs until November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
