Preview: Conference of American Vogue
On the 12th of October American Vogue in conjunction with American Airlines, Milk and HP will hold a conference “Forces of Fashion”, timed to the 125th anniversary of the magazine.
The purpose of the conference was a frank and lively discussion about the current state of the fashion industry and journalism. The event will last one day and will be the first of its kind and will contain a number of informative dialogues between designers and editors of Vogue.
“Forces of Fashion will bring together important people for the fashion industry, and we will discuss the current problems of the industry,” – says Anna Wintour.
“When it came to our 125th birthday, the designers had to participate in the celebration. Who they are and what they do for Vogue. But we wanted to do something different, something that would allow us to talk to the world. A collective desire to share experiences and connections, ” – says Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
“The forces of fashion will unite some of our favorite names and allow them to speak in ways they never did. Live and directly with the editors of Vogue on the day, which, we believe, will be just as informative. You need to be there to really experience it! “, – says Anna Wintour.
In the current lineup of speakers at Vogue conference, the production director Ton Goodman is announced; Designer Stella McCartney will talk about the future of ethical fashion; International editor Hamish-Bowl and Driz-Van Noten will talk about independent design and much more. Mark Jacobs, John Galliano, Virgil Ablo, André León Telli and Instagram founder Kevin Systrom will join them as speakers. The Vogue conference program also includes a speech session by Demoy Gvasalia, Michael Kors, Victoria Beckham, Erdem Moralioglu. And the new creative directors Marni and Chloé – Francesco Risso and Natasha Ramsey-Levy.

The price includes breakfast, lunch, cocktails and full access to the conference schedule. Vogue has not yet announced how many tickets will be sold.
