Paris Haute Couture: Elie Saab
In the Parisian week of high fashion, the autumn 2017 collection was presented by the Lebanese designer Elie Saab.
Repeating the mood of previous shows of other Fashion houses, Elie Saab in the new collection included an abundance of daytime clothing. You can say that the usual idea of high fashion collections will continue to change.
Speaking of the new collection and sources of inspiration, Elie Saab noted that his new work is a fictional world.
«Here there is a place for the fallen kings, defeated by fearless and heroic sisterhood … Bright and brave royal warriors that they once were, will remain here forever», — commented the designer.
The militant images of knights and kings, according to Elie Saab, embodied in trousers, jackets and high boots. Militarized images were supplemented with handkerchiefs and long cloaks in the manner of medieval robes. Clothing for the battle, according to the designer, turned into a romantic outfit. Royal velvet and silk were richly embroidered with gold thread, and tulle and organza were decorated with fine embroidery. Placer beads formed into heraldic emblems, and on the bodice of the dresses, glitter patterns were used with sequins. The exit of the bride in a pale pink dress with embroidery of beads and gold sequins was complemented by a hood and a long mantle.
