Nike presented a book about the collaboration with Virgil Ablo
In 2017, Virgil Ablo, the founder of the brand Off-White (and now also part-time creative director of Louis Vuitton), created a new design for ten pairs of Nike sneakers. The capsule collection was called The Ten: Icons Reconstructed by Virgil Abloh. The designer rethought the classic Air Jordan 1, Air Max 90, Air Max 97, Blazer, Hyperdunk, Air Force 1 and newer models – AirVaporMax, Air Presto and Zoom VaporFly. In early May, Nike introduced the final model of the capsule series – semi-transparent sneakers Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star (Converse – a subsidiary of Nike).
In addition, the sports brand decided to sum up the collaboration with Ablo and released a Textbook – a chronicle of their work on the capsule collection The Ten. In total there are 258 pages in the book. It contains archival pictures of Nike, fragments of interviews and recordings of public discussions. The book is available free of charge in PDF format on the official website of the brand.
