New York Fashion Week, F/W 2016. Catwalk Shows
On the 11th of February New York Fashion Week has started, which will showcase the trends of autumn 2016. Our aim is to review presented collections.
During the first day of New York Fashion Week was a fashion show of the young brand Brock, whose founders are married couple Christopher Brock and Laura Vassar. Their autumn-winter collection has turned out lush and luxurious, but in a minimalist style. Models demonstrated dresses, coats, blazers put on tops, velvet skirts, decorated with beads and floral prints. All images looked exquisite, with a slight hint of improvisation.
Creatures of the Wind
The show of the autumn-winter collection brand Creatures of the Wind took place at the first day of New York Fashion Week. According to the designers Shane Gabier and Christopher Peters, the main idea of the collection is harmony in opposition to dissonance. They wanted to create something very beautiful, and they got it. Models showed lacy blouses, decorated with Swarovski crystals, and coats with rabbit fur. Makeup and hairstyles were the same for all models: their lips cherry red at the center, their hair parted into tight pigtail braids, and their ears adorned with vintage silver earrings.
The show of the brand Marissa Webb took place at the second day of New York Fashion Week. The collection of designer Marissa Webb has turned out, as always, feminine, elegant and with elements of masculine cut. The collection is dedicated to women who appreciate timeless fashion, but they can add to their images contrast and unexpected details. The basic shades of the collection were the traditional black, gray and beige.
