New York Fashion Week, Fall/Winter 2016. Catwalk Shows
Creative Director of the fashion house Lacoste Felipe Oliveira Baptista presented a youthful and funny collection, in a futuristic style with sporty accents. For women, the designer offers knitted dresses and trousers decorated with stripes on the side, paired with floral sweaters, flared skirts and hoodies with the image of skiers and outfits to sleeves of which were attached ski gloves on zippers.
The men’s line is presented in streetwear style: jackets in indigo shades, light parkas, red down jackets with the brand logo, and sweatshirts with sports trousers – that is what, according to the designer, will be actual in the coming season.
Australian designer Dion Lee draws inspiration from the nature of his native country: pure colors, laconic models, not overloaded with details, easy cut – all of it is inherent in his new autumn-winter collection. Numerous slits on clothing, muted colors, outfits, decorated (for the first time in the history of the brand) with Swarovski crystals simply hypnotized the audience. According to the designer, the collection is created for lovers of classics who want to dilute their images with interesting details.
American designer Jill Stuart presented her autumn-winter collection, the main heroine of which became the rock star of the 70s and the bohemian gypsy. “She is elegant, she has a bad reputation and rigid character” – so Jill characterized the heroine of the collection. On the catwalk models were walking to the music in the style of a metal-rock, while demonstrating velvet skirts with the same jackets, dresses, studded with rhinestones that are shorter than the black cocktail dresses, red layered maxi-skirts and romantic gowns. “Wearing outfits from my autumn-winter collection, every woman should feel herself alive” – said Stuart.
