New collections: Max Mara, Vetements
The creative director Max Mara Ian Griffith does not change the traditions of the brand. In the new spring – summer collection we see traditional strict suits and monochrome images. Ian Griffith wants to show how a woman can be serious and sexy in the same time.
The inspiration for the creation of the collection spring – summer 2018 was hedonism and dark romanticism of Baudelaire’s poetry. So, on the podium, the models showed overalls, high-waisted skirts and translucent blouses, warm trench coats, jackets. It was not without strict shirts, sweaters, symmetry. The color scale of the collection is presented with classic black, nude, white, and lavender shades. There were flower prints, that showed the freshness of the spring image and the romanticism of the girl from Max Mara.
And Demna Gvasalia suggests to pay attention to the cold season. The creative director of Vetements calls for warming up and doing this with his brand. The other day the second part of the collection autumn-winter 2017 was presented.
Demna Gvasalia presented voluminous jackets of different lengths, hats, hoodies, jeans and sneakers. At the same time, Vetements proposes to combine these things with unusual way. For example, put on a hat on top of a hoodie with a hood. And terry sweaters with the flag of the European Union deserve special attention. Thus, the creative director of the brand decided to express his political views and laugh at the policy in Europe.
