New collection DOLCE & GABBANA ALTA MODA
Italian Fashion House Dolce & Gabbana settled in New York for the presentation of new collections. At the beginning of April 7, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana presented a new collection of high-end jewelery art called Alta Gioielleria in a public library in New York. And the other day Dolce & Gabbana pleased the New York fans with a new line of couture clothes in the Metropolitan Opera building. As expected, the couture line Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda presented fantasy curvy images from the designers of the Fashion House. The main source of inspiration for Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana was the city of New York itself, whose style was diluted by fashion designers in the 1930s and baroque motifs.
Opened the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda fashion show in a straight cut dress, completely covered with sequins embroidered in one of New York’s main attractions – the Art Deco Empire State Building, and on her head there was a hoop with silver figures of the moon and stars. After the collection was filled with eclectic images, inspired by the American style of the 1930s and the work of Elsa Schiaparelli. In the images you could see a huge number of images of US symbols: from flags and posters to slogans. There was a collection without fur and surreal details, reminiscent of those used in their collections by Schiaparelli. As decorations for evening dresses, designers used night city views, laid out of sequins on dresses, blouses and coats, the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty, parks strewn with stripes, stars and tricolor of the American flag. Out of the 20s, designers drew luxury dresses with feathers and fringes (in some models assembled from thousands of beads of small beads) and long coats framed with fur.
For their new collection, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana were invited to a wide variety of models. On the podium there were girls of different types of figure, age, nationalities and religions. The podium came models plus-saz, models in the age and even in the hijab. Among the models you could see Ashley Graham, Naomi Campbell, Joan Smalls, Elsa Hosk, Carly Kloss and others.
