Mercedes-Benz Kiev Fashion Days: THEO, Paskal
The collection of THEO, presented in the framework of Mercedes-Benz Kiev Fashion Days, became the ninth in a row. The main source of inspiration was surrealism. At the same time, the collection moved away from direct copying of the works of the most famous surrealist – Salvador Dali. Images from the collection took the hidden quotes of his works.
“The moment between sleep and reality. We always invent life for ourselves, “draw” the necessary pictures in Instagram “, – says Theo Dekan about work on the collection of spring-summer 2018.
The first part of the collection includes pastel shades, resembling sandy, desert landscapes in Dali’s paintings. For example, swordsuits worn over dresses give a reference to thin props “crutches” in Dali’s “Dream”, written in 1937. In the collection there are many images with a complex cut – parks, skirts, blouses and sarafans. Theo noted that his task was to show the pastel range in a new way. As shoes for the collection were chosen gold and black pointed shoes, as well as rough shoes on the platform. All shoes were made specifically for the THEO brand in the Kachorovska atelier.
In the collection, the designer used natural fabrics: linen, cotton, waxed cotton, cotton organic. It should be noted that the cotton organic has the ability to change its texture depending on the temperature of the air. So, in the cold, the fabric becomes hard, and when it is warm it becomes soft. The main colors in the collection were sand, clay, pink, ink-blue. The collection also includes evening and feminine outfits.
Julia Pascal in this season, Mercedes-Benz Kiev Fashion Days joined the One Day Project. The show of the new collection Paskal was held at the club Jugendhub.
In the new collection Paskal you can see delicate perforated dresses of bright neon colors. Also, the designer did not miss the opportunity to use its main elements in the images. Julia Pascal noted that creating bright yellow dresses was inspired by the rays of the sun.
The designer also turned to the back – darkness. So there were black coats with flounces, perforated capes with a hood and dresses, as well as in metal textures, referring to the cosmos. One of the brightest images in the collection of Julia Pascal was a black dress, decorated with bandages and bows, which was presented by the model of Masha Pavlik.
