Men’s collections: Lanvin, Dries Van Noten
Dries Van Noten
Within Men’s Fashion Week in Paris, the Belgian brand Dries Van Noten introduced a new collection. The presentation took place in the office building in Parisian quarter of Mare, where the staff of the local newspaper work. The location was chosen not by chance, because the main theme of the collection was the corporate style. The podium was made of carpet, and on the main background there was a shelving made of shelves with books.
Designer Driss Van Noten skillfully and boldly plays with the color scheme. It combines blue and brown, pink and olive, lemon and beige. Office staff in the understanding of the designer should look as simple as possible. They wear loose trousers, sweaters and shirts. For a change, the brand used a military style.
The collection turned out to be rather reserved and suitable for daily use.
The French brand has united in its new men’s collection two radically different directions. Firstly, sport style personifies the youthful rebellious age. Its relaxed and unpredictable. And the other part of the show presented the pragmatic nature of adult life, showing the public conservative costumes.
The collection included hoodies, jackets, olympics, panamas, loose trousers, bright overalls. Also there are waistcoats made of wool, shirts, leather trousers and shorts, biker jackets with a print in the form of a flame and an asymmetrical trench cut.
“If you look closely, the images seem at first glance boring and lifeless, acquire a mysterious meaning. The layers of clothing seem to hide the secret of its owner. It seems that an innocent guy in a suit of pale gray and lemon shirt is one of the members of the Mafia” – noted fashion editions .
