Men’s collections: Haider Ackermann, Valentino
Colombian designer Haider Ackermann presented the men’s collection of spring-summer 2018 season. The eponymous brand Haider Ackermann surprises with its simplicity and minimalism. In the new collection there are lilac, not quite male color, pajamas, naked body and trend print in the form of a strip. By the way, it is the purple in the men’s collection that successfully emphasizes the masculinity of models. The strip is on total looks, also it can be seen on separate things.
The Haider Ackermann collection is rather relaxed, easy, perfectly suitable for the next spring-summer season.
The creative director of Fashion House Pierpaolo Piccioli continues to develop sports in his collections. In the men’s collection there are sports suits, anoraks, trunks and bags over the shoulder. The last are decorated with appliqués, interwoven lines, zigzags, metallic reflections and embroidery. Despite this, the collection did not become like a streetstyle, it remained democratic and elegant, inherent in Valentino.
The main elements of the collection: architectural cut, ethnic embroidery, color balance. They decorate accessories, belts, trimming of things. T-shirts and shirts are decorated with the VLTN logo.
“I do not really like this inscription, but the young guys from my team were very enthusiastic about it, so I listened to them. I try to listen to them more often and rethink my ideas in favor of a new generation,” – Piccioli said.
“The influence of the brands Gosha Rubchinskiy, Vetements, Supreme and Palace was felt in Picchioli’s handwriting,” – noted the critics after the show.
