London’s Men: Raf Simons
This year the brand Raf Simons celebrates its 20th anniversary. The new collection, presented as part of Pitti Uomo, was the epitome of the two decades of the designer’s works.
«Florence holds a special place in my heart, as, over the years, I have regularly come back to show my work or to collaborate on ventures that closely mirrored my thoughts about it», — said Raf Simons.
According to the designer, the collection was designed specifically for the Pitti Uomo — the podium was referring to rave parties in the ’90s, electronic music and bright lights. Models on the catwalk presented casually dressed with a shirt, over-size sweaters, leather pants, anthers and other iconic brand things. As a print designer chose self-portraits of Patti Smith and his own.
