Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture fall/winter 2016
«It really was like a revelation. I saw magnificent woods, so I made wood prints and worked them in planks, like marquetry. It’s all about Zen and nature and the environment», — said designer about new couture collection.
Designer was inspired by a walk through the woods in Japan and moved his feelings on the podium. Prints, imitating tree bark, fur applications, resembling leaves, feathers, fringe … Models on the catwalk reminded animated forest. All shades of brown, green and red filled the couture looks.
The collection includes strict form-fitting suits, fur coats and trench coats. To evening outfits designer paid special attention — bohemian dresses with flying skirts, cocktail, one-shoulder, with cuts … all outfits had shiny fabrics and unusual hats.
