Jean Paul Gaultier creates cabaret costumes
Recently, the famous designer Jean-Paul Gaultier made a small confession: when he was a child, he wanted to work in a cabaret, and at the school lessons he was drawing half-naked girls in feathers, secretly dreaming to create costumes for them. It seems that the time has come: the costumes, created by Gauthier, will become the part of the famous program Friedrichstadt-Palast, which will take place in Berlin. A debut performance in his outfits will be held in autumn this year.
Totally, the designer will create 500 suits for hundred artists who will participate in the main cabaret show. The designer’s main sources of inspiration became Berlin, as well as the era of cabaret. The performance will start on the 6th of September and will run right up to 2018.
