Former Creative Director Vogue released the magazine More or Less
Previously, Jamie Perlman was the creative director of British Vogue. The other day she announced the launch of a new project – the publication More or Less, devoted to fashion and style. This project involves a digital platform and a printed magazine, which will be published twice a year. According to Perlman, the pages of the magazine can be read both about luxury brands, and about vintage clothing, old school uniforms and DIY projects.
“I have nothing against expensive clothes, but it seems to me that it’s very interesting to have a platform on which you can see other stylish solutions,” Perlman said. “It’s about the style and luxury that people can have with any socioeconomic status” .
The first cover of the magazine More or Less was adorned with the legendary model of Kate Moss. In the pictures she poses in dresses from her own collection of designer vintage clothing. On the shooting worked New York photographer Ethan James Green. In the debut issue there will be interviews with designer Héron Preston, shooting with actress Chloe Sevigny, as well as a selection of essays from designers who actively support eco-consciousness in the industry, one of the texts was written by Vivienne Westwood.
Initially, Perlman, editor-in-chief and creative director More or Less, wanted to create budget images for the magazine, limiting the budget to 500 pounds for each of them. But Libya Firth, the founder of the Eco-Age agency, which promotes environmental friendliness, ethics and social responsibility, has convinced her: “If you do not pay for what you wear, then you support an unethical approach to clothing production.” After discussing this issue with Firth, Perlman decided to raise the maximum cost of one image to a thousand pounds.
