Fendi Couture FW’17-18
In Paris, there was a display of the Fendi collection, the second after the last year’s large-scale celebration of the 90th anniversary in Rome.
The fashion show on the territory of the famous Trevi-Anita Ekberg fountain was one of the most memorable. This year Karl Lagerfeld decided to organize a no less grandiose fashion show Fendi, choosing the Champs-Elysees Theater as the location for the show. The podium was decorated with flowers and plants, resembling a magical forest. And the pink twilight added a mysterious atmosphere to the collection.
By tradition, Karl Lagerfeld invited to participate in fashion show of his old muses. On the podium, you could see Lexie Boling, Mica Arganazas, Vittoria Cheretti. Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Adwoa Aboa, Stella Maxwell and others.
The main material of Fashion House, fur, in the new collection appeared in unexpected bright colors. A coat of blue mink with a light brown hem and a Persian lamb. Persian jackets were decorated with lace cuffs and lace. And there were also variants with a mink sewn on a coat or jacket as an ornament.
Evening dress Fendi appeared in colors: from velvet, fur or lace. One such dress took up to 10,000 colors and details sewn by hand. Short cocktail dresses in the new collection presented a new technique that Karl Lagerfeld first used in Fendi. The painted sable in the coral shade was used for the skirt of a short dress, usually a similar fur is used in a natural state, but the designer decided to experiment.
In accordance with the flower theme of the collection, some models went to the podium with flower baskets, the construction of which created flowers. A new model of bags Cinch is a braided leather lace, and relief petals made of leather and fur form bouquets collected from irises, poppies and anemones.
Fashion show Fendi has traditionally ended with the release of the bride. Vittoria Ceretti presented a dress embroidered, like many others in the collection, using different motifs. A thin shawl consisted of 9,000 tiny discs, which took 1250 hours of work. The snow-white dress itself was decorated with a thin lace sewn on the net and fur. Laconic boots with fur trim and black ribbon completed the image of the bride.
