In Lviv, the other day was not only Alfa Jazz Fest, but also a fashion show of a new collection of vyshivankas by Oksana Karavanskaya. As locatios were selected gardens in the territory of the Cathedral of St. George.
«The collection was inspired by the history of the legendary life of Ukrainians. All of them have left a significant mark in the history of our country: Anne of Kiev, Solomia Krushelnytska, Sofia Fredro-Sheptytsky. At the same time it deals with and my contemporaries. This collection as eclectic cocktail winds, mixed in a shaker jazz», — said designer Oksana Karavanska.
During the year, the masters of embroidery in Western Ukraine worked on the looks presented in the new collection. In addition to traditional embroidered shirts on the catwalk could be seen prints, the creation of which inspired illustrations of the artist Katerina Shtanko for a book series «100 Fairy-Tales». They are decorated with long summer dresses with cuts and skirts.
