Fashion Industry: The Results of Summer 2016
Summer is almost over, and so it’s time to take stock and figure out what happened in the fashion world for the last three months.
This season can be safely called a successful start for the beginner models, part-child of star parents. Last year Lily Rose Depp made her debut in the shooting of an ad campaign for Chanel. Ithis summer Karl Lagerfeld invited the 15-year-old Willow Smith, daughter of Will Smith. At that time, Lily went to the honorable role — she is the face of an updated version of the perfume Chanel №5. Don’t lag behind their peers Gerber family. Children of iconic model of 90s Cindy Crawford, 14-year-old Kaia and 17-year-old Presley boldly asserted themselves in the modeling business. Summer 2016 was a time of departures and appointments among the creative director of fashion houses. Maria Grazia Currie left the post of one of the heads of Valentino and was appointed to the same position at Dior. By the way, the designer will be the first woman to lead the fashion house. Leaving Yves Saint Laurent, Hedi Slimane sued Kering. Raf Simons, creative director worked Dior and Jil Sander led Calvin Klein. And couloirs fashion houses are rumors that Alber Elbaz can became Oscar de la Renta’s creative director.
A couple of high-profile collaborations remember the outgoing season. Riccardo Tisci and Olivier Rousteing created collections for Nike. The latter even managed to lure Cristiano Ronaldo to shoot in an ad campaign. Kanye West once again announced a collaboration with Adidas, Rihanna was spotted for cooperation with Dior, and H&M and Kenzo intrigued by the announcement of the upcoming collection. Katy Perry and J. Lo promised to release their own line of shoes. Not without the ubiquitous clan Kardashian-Jenner: Kendall and Kylie have created a swimwear collection for TopShop and launched their own line of bags and trinkets.
The fashion house Fendi vengeance celebrates its 90th anniversary: fashion show in the heart of Rome, a book dedicated to the history of the brand and a huge exhibition devoted to the work of designers who worked for Fendi.
