Collection Prada Resort 2019
Another collection of Prada once again proved that the aesthetics of the 90s of the last century settled in the collections of the Fashion House for a long time. It was in this style and sought inspiration for the creators of the fashion show Resort 2019. The venue for the show was New York, namely the historic building of the Piano Factory in Manhattan. Traditionally, the set-design for the show was prepared by the agency Herzog & de Meuron. Among the bare concrete walls nothing distracted from the collection itself, which this season turned out to be “warmer” than it should for a cruise.
“We were inspired by a woman who creates beauty with her own hands,” said hairdresser Guido Palau behind the scenes. The main example of that time for Miucci Prada was the star of the 90’s Chloe Sevigny. “We love girls who abuse hair dye,” – concluded Guido.
In the new collection, Miuccia Prada relied on gigantic earflaps and military caps. They perfectly emphasized multi-colored strands of models and even more reminded of the declared 90’s. Shoes in the collection were also a direct quote from the last decade of the twentieth century. The shape of the shoes was inspired by shoes from the spring-summer collection of the 1999 brand. Traditionally, Prada ugly prints, which were loved in Prada, traditionally went into business, which were mixed in almost every image like a complexly woven carpet of psychedelic memories of youth. “I will not say too much, in fact it is not a serious show,” Prada shared after the show, “it’s a kind of fantasy about reality.”
In addition to tops, short leather skirts and dresses, the collection includes jackets and suits with optical prints, jacket sweatshirts, turtlenecks, leather jackets and woolen coats.
