Christian Dior Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2016
Serge Rufe and Lucy Meyer turned to the history of the fashion house, during creation a new collection. Designers presented collection at the Christian Dior Paris Salon, where Dior himself presented his first collection. From the debut collection of Christian Dior Rufe and Meyer took the basic ideas — the famous jacket in 1947 New Look Bar, which has become more elongated, skirts and light ruffles.
All looks presented in couture collections were made in a low-key black and white. Designers abandoned heels and even evening dresses models presented in the shoes on a flat course. As decorations Rufe and Mayer bet on embroidery — richly embroidered jackets, blouses with short sleeves and dresses.
As evening dresses could be seen on one shoulder dress with oblique cuts and frills.
