British Vogue presented new issue
The number for August was the last creation of Alexandra Shulman.
Alexandra Shulman served as editor-in-chief of British Vogue for the past 25 years. Her departure surprised many. On the cover of the August issue of Vogue appeared models such as Stella Tennant, Eddie Campbell, Kate Moss, Gene Campbell and Nora Attal. According to Alexandra’s idea, the girls embody the theme of the magazine – the past, the present and the future. Mario Testino was responsible for the shooting. Girls tried on black evening dresses and natural make-up.
Most recently, we wrote about the appointment of Edward Enninful as editor-in-chief of British Vogue. And about all the consequences of this replacement. Edward fired fashion director Lucinda Chambers, replaced the contenders for the new ones. And the contributors are Grace Coddington, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Steve McQueen. Pat McGrath became a freelance make-up artist.
“Each new editor of British Vogue changes the publication for the better by investing in it their talents and experience. Edward is a versatile person, highly respected in the industry, ” – Shulman said.
“I read British Vogue from early childhood. It’s a great honor for me to take the place of the head after Alexandra Shulman, who decided to leave the publication after 25 work, staying on top of the success, ” – Ennninful commented.
Earlier in one of the interviews, Alexander said that after work in the magazine, will necessarily change activities. The girl has already written one book, Can We Still Be Friends, and is preparing another one.
“In the magazine, I see myself as a conductor, who manages the orchestra of creative units, but you are not a creator. In the case of the book, it was me and no one else. Which is both great and frightening, because you are sitting in front of your computer all alone, ” – says Shulman.
