Another fall trend — western style
Western is not the first decade on the right occupies one of the most impressive niches in the history and culture.
Plots of films in the genre of the Wild West attract viewers of all ages. Dangerous shooting, desert prairies, bandits and the struggle for love — the main criteria of the western moved from the movie screens to the fashion podiums. Especially, references to the Wild West were most often encountered in autumn collections.
The image of a modern cowboy from Westerns does not change. Tight leather pants, wide-brimmed hats, leather belt, neck scarf. Without these it’s hard to imagine the main character of Western-style films. This outfit can be seen in classic films, where the main roles went to Clint Eastwood, John Wayne and Gary Cooper. Western likes the famous Quentin Tarantino — «Django Unchained», «The Hateful Eight» are sustained in this genre.
Even the American television channel HBO succumbed to the fashion for the western. And in October last year released the first season of the fantastic series «Westworld». Where a plot in the future will be built a huge entertainment park. Where every guest for a decent amount can become a participant in the life of the Wild West in realtime.
On the catwalks, Western motifs could be seen in almost every collection. Wide-brimmed hats in various variations, classic Americans with total look of denim and cowboy boots. There were also in autumn collections without woolen cloth ponchos, leather gloves, embroidered belts, short boots and fringe. A special place in collections in the style of western is fringe. Designers decorated it with leather jackets, shoes, shirts, bags and even neck scarves.
The main rule is not to go too far with the western and not turn into a real cowboy. Therefore, it is best to use one element in the image. For example, a crochet and short boots will perfectly fit a short dress into a floral print. An embroidered belt worn over the shirt will accentuate the waistline, and a felt hat with a fine decor will fit well with the autumn coat.
In their autumn collections, Gucci, Marc Jacobs, Jeremy Scott, Ashley Williams, House of Holland, Chloe, Maison Michel, Prada, Calvin Klein, Givenchy others addressed the western.
