DJ Avicii has passed away
In the evening on Friday, April 20, the BBC reported the death of the Swedish DJ and producer Tim Beurling, better known by the scenic name Avicii, with reference to the words of the agent Diane Baron. The official statement says that the DJ died at the age of 28 in the Omani city of Muscat on April 20.
The cause of death was the long-standing problems of Berling with health. Tim Burling even took a break from his career due to health problems – the musician suffered from chronic pancreatitis, which also developed due to excessive alcohol consumption (in 2014 he also had an operation to remove the gallbladder and appendix). DJ even canceled the performance in 2016 due to poor health.
“The family is devastated, we ask everyone to respect the private life of the close musician during this difficult time, no more details,” said Avicii’s spokeswoman Diana Baron.
DJ Avicii began his musical career by remixing a musical theme from the video game Lazy Jones, and later recorded his own track “Lazy Lace”, which was soon released on Strike Recordings. Winning the prize of the Pita Tong Fast Trax program, Burling received many offers and in April 2008 released the track “Manman” on Tonga’s Bedroom Bedlam. In May of the same year, he signed contracts with At Night Management and Vicious Grooves.
At the 54th Grammy Awards, he, along with David Getta, was nominated in the category “Best Dance Recording” for their joint track “Sunshine”. In 2013, another “Grammy” nomination received his “Levels” track as the best dance record.
September 13, 2013 released his debut studio album True, which received platinum certification in countries such as Austria, Canada, Mexico, Norway, Poland, Sweden and the United Kingdom. October 2, 2015 released his second studio album called Stories.
On March 29, 2016, he announced the end of public speeches and tours. August 10, 2017 interrupted his creative vacation and released a mini album AVĪCI (01), consisting of 6 tracks.
Avicii has announced a special sound and experiments in the genre of electronic music. He became one of the few DJs who went on tour around the world, and his covers and compositions were nominated three times for the Grammy award.
