New collection of makeup Dior Backstage
Dior presented a new beauty collection Backstage and presented it at the Cruise 2019 in Chantilly. The most important and expected novelty in it was the tonal basis. The tonal basis became a real hit thanks to a variety of shades – 40 colors for every woman on the planet.
For the first time in the history of the brand, the palette of a foundation contains 40 variations on the theme of nude. The editors called this phenomenon “the Rihanna effect”, which was the first to release a collection of tonal bases suitable for girls and boys with any skin color.
Creative Director of Dior Beauty Peter Philips noted that the new line was the result of his work behind the scenes of many fashion shows and filming, as well as a response to the numerous requests of customers who wanted to see the brand collection a greater variety of shades. During the creation of makeup for models, Phillips and the team repeatedly had to mix several tonal bases to get the perfect shade for each girl. In the future, says the make-up artist, there will be more than 40.
The new base of Dior Backstage gives a coating with a wet radiant finish. Its water-based formula also includes encapsulated pigments that, when in contact with the skin, adjust to its natural shade. The Dior Backstage base palette includes shades from the lightest to the olive and chocolate, so finding your tone will be easy for customers with skin of any color. The Cut notes that this is an important step in the development of the brand: with the launch of the new line, Dior has become more inclusive.
In the second part of the collection of make-up Dior Backstage will be presented in a wide color palette, and using them will be easy and simple. Phillips hopes that the new collection will appeal to very different women, and not just millennials.
The collection will feature two eyebrow pads – light and dark, a contouring pallets, two eye makeup pads, a four hailer’s pallet, a lip balm and 13 brushes. Gradually it will expand.
In late April, Dior released a vivid campaign for the spring-summer eye makeup collection. The heroine of the shooting was Bella Hadid. The make-up artist used for the make-up of the model bold combinations of funds from the new collection – violet eyeliner and pink carcass, black liner and blue carcass or a few bright bridges at once.
