Louis Vuitton launches a line of men’s fragrances
Louis Vuitton launches a line of five men’s fragrances plus one udovy flavor. It will be presented in 270 stores on May 31st. The French Fashion House returns to the world of perfumery almost a hundred years after the launch of the fragrance itself in 1927 – although since in fact there were only two of them.
Immediately after the announcement of the launch of the line of men’s fragrances, Louis Vuitton has restored his factory for the production of perfumes in Grasse and plans to launch the novelty in September. The main “nose” of the House LV is the perfumer Jacques Cavalier-Belletru, the creator of such cultic flavors as Stella by Stella McCartney and Dior Addict – established his laboratory in the perfume capital (where, by the way, he was born) and concentrated his attention on selecting the exclusive raw materials. The future fragrance will be built on floral notes – the May rose, jasmine, which will shade a new chord – the unique Louis Vuitton leather. It is known that this will be the same light skin used for canvas and pens.
Two years ago, Louis Vuitton launched a female perfume line consisting of seven fragrances. Today the chief perfumer of the House LV, Jacques Cavalier-Belletru, continues the olfactory history of the House with the launch of six new men’s fragrances. They are also positioned as a niche, available in their own brand stores and at louisvuitton.com.
The fragrances were designed as an olfactory wardrobe for men, but given that perfume trends do not change as quickly as in the fashion. Jacques Cavalier-Belletrou focuses not only on fashionable freshness, but also on non-traditional ingredients. L’Immensité is built on notes of grapefruit, ginger, labdanum, ambroxane and amber. Orage includes notes of patchouli, iris, bergamot and Javanese vetiver, Nouveau Monde – notes of saffron and boa, as well as cocoa. Sur La Route is mixed in Calabrian citrus, notes of cedar, lemon, bergamot, freshly cut grass, Peruvian balsam, pink pepper and nutmeg. Au Hasard is built around sandalwood from Sri Lanka, ragweed and cardamom seeds. Prices for fragrances will start from 210 euros per 100 ml. Funny blocks and packages for travel will be available.
Ombre Nomade is dedicated to the theme of Middle Eastern spirits. It is a mixture of boa, leather, spicy and woody accents. It can be worn alone or layered. Its price will be higher: 290 euros per 100 ml. and 445 euros for 200 ml.
