Angelina Jolie`s skincare routine
In a recent interview, Jolie described a very important person in her life: dermatologist Ronde Rand. The actress met with Dr. Rand as a child when her mother (Marcellin Bertrand) brought her to the reception with the first scar. In addition, that Dr. Rand has been advising Jolie for about 30 years, she is already treating the actress’s children.
In the project with the Refinery29 resource, Dr. Rand, with the permission of Jolie, shared the secrets on the care of the beauty icon, told about her favorite beauty products and about the privileges of a long relationship between the doctor and the patient.
The first thing Dr. Rand drew attention to was the fact that Angelina took care of the skin from an early age. As Dr. Rand said, Jolie was lucky, and she got her mother’s olive skin, which provided the actress with “natural beauty,” which did not require special manipulation, but just the right care. It was just a sunscreen, the proper cleaning of the face with a gentle, gentle remedy, the use of antioxidants and glycolic acid.
The actress reduced the use of decorative cosmetics to a minimum. As Rand says, Jolie practically does not apply makeup if she does not work. This is probably one more reason why her skin looks so good. In addition, Jolie understands the cosmetics, so her make-up artist is very cautious in the selection and use of beauty products.
Jolie always follows the order of skin care. While traveling, the actress uses ANA (alpha hydroxy acids) and antioxidants. One of her favorite products is the antioxidant sunscreen Dermbasics RR Perfection Cream. She also loves pads with glycolic acid Dermbasics Glycolic Acid Pads 20%, removing the dead cells of the stratum corneum and increasing the level of collagen and elastin. They help to clean pores, narrow them and lighten pigmentation.
The main rule – the skin should always be protected. From an early age, Angelina was attentive to the use of sunscreen, as she always tried to avoid unwanted pigmentation. She also almost always wears headwear and constantly moisturizes the skin.
Angelina rarely resorts to intensive cosmetic procedures. Dr. Rand said that they sometimes make light laser resurfacing, which improves skin condition and gives it a natural glow. With undesirable pigmentation, Jolie struggles with photorejuvenation.
Early menopause did not affect Angelina’s skin. The actress experienced forced menopause earlier than usual (after her preventive operation to remove the ovaries). But regular skin care helped Jolie avoid the consequences. Even during the menopause, moisturizing and the use of quality products such as antioxidants, ANA-acids or retinol, you can keep youth and beauty of the skin.
